เมื่อวันที่ ๒๕ ตุลาคม ๒๕๕๘ นายดำรง ใคร่ครวญ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ พร้อมด้วยรักษาราชการแทนกงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู ได้เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะดาโต๊ะ ฮัจญี อาฮ์มัด บิน ยาคอบ มุขมนตรีแห่งรัฐกลันตัน เพื่อแนะนำตัวในโอกาสเข้ารับหน้าที่ ทั้งสองได้หารือกันเกี่ยวกับความใกล้ชิดระหว่างรัฐกลันตันกับประเทศไทย ความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจและการร่วมมือกันพัฒนาพื้นที่ชายแดนของสองประเทศให้มีความมั่นคงและมั่งคั่ง รวมถึงแนวทางการส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวระหว่างกัน

 

On 25 October 2015, H.E. Mr. Damrong Kraikruan, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, together with the Acting Consul-General of Thailand in Kota Bharu, paid a courtesy call on Y.B. Dato' Hj. Ahmad bin Yaakob, Menteri Besar of Kelantan Darul Naim, to introduce himself upon taking up his duty in Kuala Lumpur. The two had an opportunity to exchange views on various topics, including the close ties between Thailand and the State of Kelantan, tourism promotion, economic exchanges and the joint development of the border areas of Thailand and Malaysia.
